Are you having trouble creating your own Google forms? After reading this article I guarantee not anymore.
Just like you, when I first used Google forms I also struggled. After trying many times, I finally mastered how to make google forms. Starting from making questions, multiple choice, quizzes, to making google form links.
In this article, I will provide a complete tutorial on how to use google forms. I divided this tutorial into 3 parts. First, how to make questions in general. Second, how to make multiple choice questions. Third, how to create a google form link.

1. How to Create Questions on Google Forms
There are many types of questions that we can create on Google forms such as short answer questions, multiple choice, drop downs, scales, check boxes, and others.
- Go to Google forms. Visit https://docs.google.com/forms/
- Click the plus sign (+) to create a new form

- Fill in the title and description of the form you created. Number 1 for title and number 2 for description

- Enter your question (1), then select a question type (2). Check the Mandatory option if this question must be answered by the participant later (3)

- Click the plus sign (+) on the right to add a new question field.

- Repeat steps 4 and 5 to create the number of questions you want.
- Finished.
2. How to Create Multiple Choice Questions on Google Form
To create multiple choice questions on Google Forms, it is almost the same as the first method. Therefore, I ask you to repeat steps 1,2,3 in the first method.
If so, please follow the next steps below.
- Write your question in the column provided.
- In the question type section, select “multiple choice”

- Enter the answer choices in the column below the question. By default it usually says “option 1”.
- To add more options, click “add option”. You are free to add as many answer options as you need.

- If you want to delete an answer option, click the X on the right.

- To add another question, just click the plus sign (+) on the right. Then repeat steps 1-4.
- Finished.
3. How to Create a Quiz on Google Forms
Quiz is one of the features in Google Forms. By activating this feature, Google Forms can give automatic grades after participants fill out the form.
Participants will automatically know the number of correct answers, incorrect answers, and the value they get.
Suitable for multiple choice questions.
- Before starting to create questions, click “Settings” (gear mark on the top right)
- Select the “Quiz” type

- Click activate on the option “make this as a quiz” (1)
- In the Value Release option (2):
- select “Immediately after each submission”, if you want to automatically assign each participant a grade. So, as soon as they finish answering all the questions, they will know the score right away.
- select “Later after manual review”, if you want to manually check each participant’s answers.
- In the Respondents option can see (3):
- Missed questions: Activate, if you want participants to be able to see which of their answers were correct.
- Correct answer: Activate, if you want participants to know which is the correct answer for each question.
- Point score: Activate to let participants know the score they got.
- After you set everything correctly, click “save”. Then move on to making questions.
- Make multiple choice questions like the previous tutorial. Then, click “answer key”.

- Select the answer key for the question, then fill in the points/scores for the question. In this example, I chose Sukarno’s answer key and gave 10 points for its value.

- Done, repeat steps 7 and 8 to make the next question.
4. How to Create a Google Form Link
Okay, so far I assume you can create your own Google Form. After creating the form, the next step is to create a link that will be shared with participants.
The method is as below:
- Click on “Send” at the top right.
- Select the “chain icon”.

- You can directly copy the link that appears.
- If you want the link to be simpler or shorter, check the “Shorten URL” column.

- Don’t forget to tick “Collect email addresses” if you want to save all the emails of participants who filled out the form.
- Done, you can directly share the link.
Conclusion
You can use the first tutorial to create different types of questions. The second tutorial is specifically for questions with multiple choice answers.
Use the Quiz option to create multiple-choice questions where participants can find out their grades immediately after they finish working.
Don’t forget to create a Google Form Link so that your form can be shared with others.
Congratulations, now you know how to create a complete Google Form, from start to finish.
