Science requires as well as a source of information. This means that when science is growing, more and more information is needed.
By itself the more knowledge, the more information generated. This process makes available information abundant.
Knowledge is something that humans use to understand the world, which can be changed based on the information received.
A’s knowledge channel can be different from B’s knowledge, based on the same information. Thus, information and data are standard means to support and improve activities in the fields of science, culture, and technology.
In everyday life, we can see knowledge. For example, a list of new semester 1 students in a University Department is data. Then, the list is submitted to the lecturers as absent material.
Based on this data, the lecturers provided information to the students that there were 350 participants in the Information Science tutorial course consisting of 200 female and 150 male students. This is information from lecturers to students.
Furthermore, one of the students has a picture of knowledge that shows that there are more female students than male students.
Then, other students have different knowledge that most of the applicants for the Library and Archives Science major are female students. So, from this picture, based on the same information, the knowledge received by someone can be different.
