Even though it is still during the Covid-19 pandemic, Garena has ensured that the Free Fire Asia Championship 2022 will continue to start with enthusiasm. The tournament, which will take place in November, was held in order to find the best Free Fire team in the Asian continent.
With a prize pool of $400,000 USD, the largest Free Fire tournament in the Asian region will be held in a quite interesting format. Where later there will be as many as 31 teams from 7 regions of countries in Asia that will fight for the championship. The seven countries include Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
Match Format

Regarding the format of the match, the Free Fire Asia Championship 2022 will be held using the Play-in and Final format. While the number of teams that will represent each country has differences. For example, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, each get 5 representative teams.
While India, Pakistan and Taiwan each only got 4 representative teams. Uniquely, the winners from each country are automatically entitled to advance to the 2022 FFAC Grand Finals.
Play-In
As quoted from liquipedia, the Free Fire Asia Championship 2022 or FFAC 2022 will be played in two stages, namely Play-In and Final. The Play-In session itself will take place on 20-21 November 2022. The first day of the Play-In will be divided into 2 groups, namely Group A and Group B.
Where later each group will go through 6 matches on predetermined maps including the Bermuda, Kalahari, and Purgatory maps. Each group has 2 slots to the Grand Finals. The two teams that manage to get the highest points from each group will automatically advance to the Grand Finals of the Free Fire Asia Championship 2022.
While the remaining 1 slot is for the team that is in the third best position. The Indonesian representative teams that will compete in the Play-In include SES Alfaink, The Pillars Gladius, GPX and DG ESPORTS.
2022 FFAC Grand Final
Overall, the Grand Final which will take place on November 28, 2022 will be filled by 12 teams. Where they will play as many as 7 rounds with the same format and maps as Play-In. The Indonesian representative esport team who got the opportunity to directly taste the Grand Finals Free Fire Asia Championship 2022, namely EVOS Divine.
