After waiting for the multiplayer feature for a long time, finally on August 1, 2022 Stardew Valley has officially received the multiplayer feature and today you can download the update. This multiplayer will be available on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo platforms but today the developer only announced it is only available for PC, Mac, and Linux platforms.
Entering the beta period on April 30, 2022 and after 3 months confirming that it is ready for release is now available, this Multiplayer mode will be available in several online PC storefronts such as Steam, Humble and GOG.
As announced a few months ago, the multiplayer mode in Stardew Valley allows up to four players to play. Now on the main page of the game there is a new menu, namely ‘co-op’ which you use to play with friends in multiplayer, one player invites up to three players to their game. Although it looks simple in its features, Stardew Valley wants to make people work together, not to compete on who is the best farmer.
- In Multiplayer you can create a new Game or load an existing Game.
- You can get married in multiplayer mode with other players, you can even divorce them.
- You can work together such as farming, mining, fighting, fishing, foraging for food, to participating in festivals.
- There is a chat box and special emojis for communicating with each other, with colored text and nearly 200 emojis available.
- As there are more players, players can also scale profit margins or calculate earnings from sales to change the difficulty level.
