EA is currently busy fixing their fatal error in the game Star WARs Battlefront 2, but they still haven’t forgotten their flagship racing game, Need for Speed Payback, which has also become the subject of criticism. EA admitted that last week the progress system was not good, and said that changes to increase the Rep and Bank awards are in the works. Some of the improvements are already in the process of being worked on and some are ready to be released.
“We’ve read your feedback, watched your videos and digested all of our game data, all to make Need for Speed Payback the best possible experience,” developer Ghost Games said in a blog post. “Something we have heard loud and clear is that it often takes a long time to upgrade multiple cars. We agreed, and as a result this is something we have worked on over the previous weeks, and will continue to do.”
Changes – Already released
- Lowered the time it takes for new parts to appear in the Tune-up Shops, down from 30 minutes to 10 minutes.
- An increased number of REPs is awarded by taking part in events.
- Increasing the number of Banks given by participating in events.
- Bait crates now increase REP rewards.
- Bait crates now increase Bank rewards.
- Competing against a Roaming Racer will reward you with increasing REP.
- Competing against Roaming Racer will reward you by increasing Bank.
- Increases the rate at which parts are rewarded in Ranked Speedlists.
- Air Suspension will now appear more frequently.
- Slightly increased REP and Bank in completing events outside of 1st rank.
Changes – Will be released in the next Patch
- Tune-up Shops now have higher quality parts available.
- Improves the card quality of the targeted reels in the Tune-up Shops.
- Increase the level of parts awarded in winning the event.
- Some fixes to Improve stability.
- Improved game performance.
