Dying Light 2 Announced at E3 2022 by Chris Avellone

At the E3 2022 event during Microsoft’s press conference, the zombie parkour game Dying Light got a sequel that was quite surprising, Chris Avellone worked with developer Techland to design the narrative / storyline. Now powered by a new generation of in-house technology called C-ENGINE. The announcement includes a trailer as well as a gameplay demo which you can check out below.

Chris Avellone is best known for his work on RPG games such as Fallout, Planescape: Torment and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, signaling a significant evolution in this latest series. This game is set after 15 years of being hit by a deadly zombie outbreak, Dying Light 2 will have a more exciting and challenging storyline and your decisions will be very important. You can still parkour around the city.

Chris was on stage explaining the importance of the players’ decisions. Like in the way you go on a mission and it will change the city and raise or lower morale. In the demo, Techland showcased the mission of the Peacekeepers to negotiate access to the water supply of the other group in peace or chaos, both of which will affect the storyline.

That’s all that Chris Avellone has, but he explains “It allows you to carve out your own world,”. All of those decisions will add up to make each player’s experience unique. Like the previous series, when night falls the zombies will be much more frightening and powerful.

Chris hasn’t given an exact release date for this one game, but Dying Light will be coming to PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. What do you think, are you interested in this one game?
