The first promised changes to the economy and progression system of Star Wars Battlefront 2 officially released today, changing the number of credits, the game currency system, which players play in various modes.
“Today, a smooth update that includes some adjustments to the economy and progression,” wrote DICE on the Star Wars Battlefront 2 blog. today.”
Included in the first round of changes to the game’s economy are the number of credits the player wins at the end of the round, the credits earned daily in Arcade Mode and the number of crafting parts earned from each daily login.
The most successful players will especially see bigger fans in the form of credits dropping thanks to increased payouts at the end of the round, DICE said. But all players stand to benefit from the Arcade Mode upgrade (which has been limited to 500 credits per day) and drops from daily logins.
“It’s clear that you when you play in Arcade Mode Credits will be faster than we expected, so we wanted to reduce that by increasing that to 1500 Credits,” according to the post. “While we’re still looking into ways to add more content to it in the long term, we think it will be helpful in the near future for those who want the rewards of completing each of the different scenarios.”
The increased number of crafting parts earned from daily logins will also help players create more Star Cards, the note noted. This will be especially useful for those who want to progress further and faster, as Star Cards are an important component of promoting your character’s abilities, weapons and gear.
There will be more changes to the economy and progression system in Battlefront 2 in the coming weeks. These three initial updates are the first of what the developer calls “much bigger changes” to the initial setup that were heavily criticized for gaining loot and character leveling.
