Google earth, Import Google Earth Images to Autocad Without Application. This tutorial is still related to land plot measurement about how Import images from google earth to autocad without using a plugin or additional apps like Plex Earth or the like. It’s actually much easier to use if you use additional applications such as Plex Earth compared this way. But there is nothing wrong if you just want to increase knowledge because there will be times when something that is ignored now turns out to be needed in the future.
In the previous tutorial, the search blog has made a tutorial on how to connect Autocad with Google Earth using a plugin or app Plex Earth. For those of you who don’t know how to use the additional Plex Earth application to export and import images between AutoCAD and Google Earth, you can read on How to Connect Autocad with Google Earth Using Plex Earth, and the tutorial on how to install plex earth, bro, you can read here.
The applications that you should use are:
- Autocad Map 3D (Here the Student Blog admin uses Autocad Map 3D 2010).
- Google Earth Pro
How to Import Google Earth Images to Autocad is as follows:
- Open Google Earth and find out which plot of land you want to import or want to know the area and length of the land. Here the searchscience.com admin will draw on the vacant land as indicated by the down arrow.

- The next step select add “Polygon” like the image shown by the arrow, the image will appear as below.

- Click on all sides of the plot of land so that it will appear like the picture, if the blocked image is appropriate, select “OK”.

- Right click on polygon that we created earlier and select copy.

- After that right click again on the polygon like the steps above and select “Property”. then paste or paste in the blank.
- After the above steps are completed, the numbers will appear like this. add text “line” without the quotes at the top of the numbers, and copy all the text as shown below

- The next step is to open AutoCAD, and paste the copied text as above in the command section indicated by the arrow below.

- After copying, the command display will look like the image below, then press the button “Enter” on the keyboard.

- After the above steps, the image will not appear directly on the autocad screen. To display the image press on the keyboard the button “Z, Enter, A, Enter” . After that, please block on the autocad screen to see where the position of the land parcel is in autocad
- After the image is enlarged, the plot of land will appear on the screen as shown below.

The process of importing images from google earth to autocad has been completed, but this field still cannot be calculated and cannot display the length of the land because the position and size of the plot of land are not appropriate. In order for the length and area of the plot of land to be displayed, the plot of land must be converted to coordinates, for example to UTM coordinates. To perform the conversion of coordinates will be discussed in the next article. For the steps starting from importing images, converting coordinates and re-exporting images from autocad to google earth, please read the article below;
