Recently, Netflix has announced that The Witcher will get an Anime adaptation with the title Nightmare of the Wolf. Previously there was no information regarding this adaptation other than a short teaser.
Netflix itself announced The Witcher Anime along with confirmation of the anime’s release window. They say that The Witcher Anime will be coming soon in 2022 without a definite release date.

Through the first The WitcherCon on July 9, Netflix officially announced the exact release date of The Witcher Anime titled Nightmare of the Wolf after a long time.
They announced this release date along with a short 1 minute teaser. This teaser trailer shows a bit of information regarding the project. Where this video ends with confirmation of the release date on August 23.

The storyline of The Witcher Anime itself will focus on the main character named Vesemir. He is a Witcher and mentor of Geralt of Rivia during his training.
