If you don’t know, the reason the warning appears is because the quota quota has been exceeded or the cool language is the limit.
If this is the case then you will not be able to download the file.
But calm down! There is a solution to overcome this problem, namely by doing a bypass. In this article, I provide 3 ways to easily overcome the Google Drive limit.
What is the File Download Quota Limit on Google Drive?
I myself don’t know how much the download quota is actually set by Google.
But what is clear, the cause of the limit is because the file has high traffic in one day. Usually, Google will lock the file for one day or 24 hours.
Depending also on the file size, if the file size is large, the limit will usually disappear between three days to one week.
Well, if you are patient, you can wait until the file limit is reset and can be downloaded again.
But if you are impatient, then you can use the method below:
1. How to Overcome Google Drive Limit on PC / Laptop
This first method is for you PC / Laptop device users, please follow the steps below:
- First, make sure your Google account is logged in on the browser you used to download.
- Please access limited Google Drive files.
- Once open please click the icon Drive+ then click Download icon.
- You will be taken to a page containing a warning that the download quota for the file is already limited, please click Drive.
- At this stage you will be taken to the Drive page of your account, please find the file that was limited earlier, Right click on the file name then select Make a Copy.
- After the copy file has been successfully created, locate and Right click on the file name and select Download.
- Finally, please choose Keep Downloading.
Now, at this point, the files that had already reached the download limit can now be downloaded again. Please wait until the download process is complete.
2. How to Overcome Google Drive Limits on Android & iOS
Basically, to bypass the limited Google Drive via a smartphone, there is no significant difference with when you use a PC / Laptop device.
It’s just that there are slight differences in the interface or just the interface, then how? Please follow the steps below:
- I suggest you to use the Google Chrome browser to make it easier, don’t forget to also log in using your Google account.
- Please open the limited Google Drive file link.
- Once open, please tap three dots icon in the upper right corner then tick the option Desktop Site.
- After the display changes to a desktop view, please tap the download button until you enter the limit page.
- At this stage you have to make modifications to the file URL. Change uc Becomes Open then delete &export=download after that access the modified link.
- Tap Drive and you will be directed to your account’s Drive page.
- Find the file that has a limit, tap the icon Three Point then select Make a Copy.
- After the copying process is complete, please find the copied file, tap Three Dots icon then select Download.
- Finally, choose Keep Downloading.
Until here, please wait for the download process to complete.
3. Wait Until Limit Reset
The solution that I gave above 99% is still working until the time this article was made. However, there are times when it might fail for some reason.
Now, unfortunately, apart from the method above, there is no method that can be used to bypass the Google Drive limit.
So all you can do is wait until the limit is reset by Google.
Usually it takes one day, or if the file is large it could be between 3 days to 1 week.
