Hacker movies can be used as an aid in learning to be a beginner hacker. The reason is that in the film there are already techniques and ways of working how to hack a target.
Well, for those who are curious, I have written several hacker-themed films with the best storylines (in my opinion).
I got all these movies from youtube. So you can also see it easily.
Hacker Movie Contains Hacking Techniques
If I look at other websites that discuss hacker films, there are several films that are indeed hacker-themed, but the hacking scene is only limited to people operating computers suddenly succeeding in breaking into the system.
If so, where can we learn from?
Well, I have recommended films with good storylines and can be used for learning.
Here are 5 Hacker Movies to learn hacking techniques
1. WhoAmI
Who Am I is a film that tells of Benjamin Engel as the main character and one of the members of CLAY. This film has a duration of 1 hour 40 minutes and in it a lot of hacking methods are shown.
The plot of this story is backwards. So at the beginning of the film Benjamin is being interrogated by the police and then he tells the life of his hacker.
Long story short, benjamin was caught for hacking his server then he met Max the script kiddie (can only use scripts) but he has courage and high confidence so he looks like a pro hacker.
Max then invites Benjamin to meet his friends, Stepan and Paul. The four of them perform hacking actions to get praise from other communities or rather want mr.x to praise them.
In order to be known by many people, the four of them named themselves as CLAY. However, clay is considered a beginner hacker (trash) among other hacker communities, especially by Mr-X.
That’s why CLAY did an even crazier hack so they dealt with BND and MR-X. There was excitement where clay tried to escape from BND and they also tried to reveal who Mr-X really was.

2. Reborn
The film Reborn tells the story of a group that wants to unmask a person named MORI. He is the antagonist in this film.
In short MORI wants to get full access to the OASIS system. He ordered his men named Zebra to help make his wish come true.
Zebra itself is actually an undercover cop assigned to arrest MORI. In his mission Zebra asked his old friend for help named CAPTAIN_PIRATE. He is a geek and a bit of an idiot but manages to beat the zebra in the world hacker contest.
In this film, there are lots of hacking scenes such as breaking into the system, conducting reconnaissance, manipulating traffic lights and much more.

3. BOY SEVEN
This film tells the story of hacking the human brain using an artificial chip implanted in the back of the neck. Those who have been installed with the chip will obey everything that is ordered by their master.
The main character in this film is SAM. He is a child with a high hacking ability so he was kidnapped by an institution that wants to rule his country.
Sam was made a pawn with the number 7. But he managed to exchange the 7 chip that already contained the program with an empty chip before it was placed in his neck. So sam is just pretending to be an expert (the chipped guy).
Boy seven movie has a backward plot like who am i. So sam just went back to remembering what had happened to him before he lost consciousness because he was chipped.
Sam’s only aim is to unmask the agency that kidnaps hacking-capable kids. He already has evidence of a flash disk that he stole from the institution, but unfortunately his actions were caught and he had to escape and recall his memories.

4. Hackers (2022)
The film is about a boy named Benjamin who is looking for his mother’s whereabouts. Benjamin’s mother is someone who is wanted by the institution to realize the Zeus project (human brainwashing).
Mrs. Benjamin is the only person who has the algorithm so that the Zeus project can be run. So he had to save himself and leave the little Benjamin.
Long story short, Benjamin grows up and has mastered the science of hacking taught by his cyber friend named Ghost who is his own mother, but Benjamin doesn’t know it. Ghost always helps benjamin in carrying out his hacking actions.
He earns money by distributing test answer keys from the results he hacked into his school’s server with his classmates. Until he was heard by the agency looking for his mother.
However, Benjamin befriends a woman who causes his mother to be caught by an institution that wants Project Zeus to continue.
How is Benjamin’s action in saving his mother and destroying Project Zeus?

5. Bitcoin Heist
The bitcoin heist film tells the story of a group who wants to uncover the evil of a ghost (a bitcoin miner). But there is a ghost disguised as a phuck in the group.
phuck fell in love with one of the members which led to him being caught by the cooperating police.
Long story short, ghost just wants to take back his bitcoins that have been stolen by the older sister of the woman he loves. But because there are police who are hunting him so the ghost is having a hard time getting him back.
This film is very cool because it shows social engineering techniques by playing magic. There is also the action of a child trying to connect the backdoor with the target server computer.
