Halle Berry stars as a working mother who hunts down her 6-year-old son (Sage Correa) after two kidnappers (Chris McKin and Lou Temple) kidnap them.
The film was produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura through Di Bonaventura Pictures, with a budget of US$21 million. The project was announced at the 67th Cannes Film Festival, and Relativity Media acquired the copyright for the film in September 2022. The shoot with photographers Flavio Labiano in New Orleans and Slidell, Louisiana, used true-to-life effects, and the shooting period ended in three months. During post-production, the film’s soundtrack was composed by Federico Jusid.
In July 2022, Relativity filed for bankruptcy protection, and the film was delayed several times before being delayed. Kidnap Movie Synopsis
Restaurant waitress and single mother Karla Dyson takes her 6-year-old son, Frankie, to the carnival. Once there, Karla leaves her son to answer the phone and hear new information from her lawyer about her current struggle for custody of her separated husband. He returns and finds that Frankie is missing. He leaves his toy tape recorder behind. Kara searches for him frantically and sees a woman dragging Frankie into a green Ford Mustang without permission, which is being driven by a man. While taking off, Karla tries to stop him by grabbing the car, but his phone falls off after failing. Cara then jumps into her minivan to hunt down the kidnappers.

On the highway, Karla tries to attract the attention of motorists. However, when the kidnapper threw a tire into open traffic and caused a collision, his attempt was thwarted. After the kidnappers threaten to kill Frankie with a knife, Kara is forced to choose an escape route before continuing the hunt. Kara hears the sound of her child’s toy tape recorder, indicating that the kidnapper’s name is Margot. Cara spotted a police motorbike and managed to attract the attention of the police by swinging the car sideways. When the police ordered him to pull over and stop, Kara tried to tell him that his son was kidnapped, but to no avail. The kidnappers noticed and hit their car with a motorbike, killing the police officer, and then the two cars suddenly stopped in the field.
After Karla faced the male driver without any response, Margo approached her car. Margo demands a ransom of $10,000 in exchange for Karla’s son. The two try to hitch a ride, but when the Volvo crashes into their vehicle without warning, causing the driver to die and Cara lose consciousness, both become blind. Upon awakening, Kara finds that her son is no longer in the Volvo. When the kidnapper got out of his car with a chainsaw gun, he overturned the car, causing the man to be hit and killed by a tree. Reading her ID and knowing that her name is Terrence Vickey, Karla decides to go to the address.
