The love triangle story presented in this film will never develop normally. The role of Tyo Handoko (Nino Fernandez) appears in a responsible capacity. At some point, this character feels like trying to be the opposite in the marriage relationship between Nania and Rafli’s character.
However, other times, these characters never do anything other than design the plot of some of the film’s story conflicts. Soeharjanto’s direction is also the key to the success of Ordinary Boys in storytelling. Soeharjanto managed to tell the love story of Nania and Rafli with the correct storytelling rhythm.
It never feels rushed or intentionally slows down the story—although the second half of the film feels a bit rushed to reach the conflicting conclusions presented at the end of the film’s story.
