Three Days To Kill . Movie Review
In addition to the good cast above, this film also has problems with photography and the plot and storyline. While the first part of the film shows agents going on missions with lots of gunfire and explosions, audiences expect the next part to be better (at least with more visual effects).
Unfortunately, the absence of the next scene is quite “wow”. Camera settings also do not help the audience to enjoy the film. Due to messy editing, there’s too much fighting action and the car chases are lifeless. The viewer can’t “enter” into the film because it’s as if we’re just watching through and can’t add “goosebumps” or “afraid” to see what’s on the screen.
Apart from the technical factors above, the story written by Luc Besson & Adi Kazak also did not get help from director McGonagall. There are many plot loopholes. How could a senior agent like Ethan Rainer be so easily “infused” by a foreign woman? What’s more, there’s no evidence that this woman actually worked for the CIA? Just because Reina is a dying agent who can do anything, does it make sense to give her this magic medicine?
Is this miracle cure simply because of a pile of lab notes not seen in the film Ethan Renner researched? Besides, does the CIA lack agents to deal with wolves and albinism that don’t look too smart/weird? Why rely on the sickly agent Reina, even when she was under great pressure, she fell ill. Doesn’t the CIA usually work in teams, especially when the mission is serious?
In addition to the logic problems above, the storyline is not well conveyed, so the audience turns a blind eye to the actual operation of Ethan Rainer. Why did you go to Mitat Yilmaz (Marc Andreoni)? What exactly does Reina want from the trial of accountant Guido (Bruno Ritchie)?

Maybe in the dialogue, the story is given a short narrative, but with the “interlude” of the family element in this film, the story about the institution itself becomes illogical. A lot of unimportant things are also included in this film, and things that make the film feel very slow don’t fit into a film with a poster of Kevin Costner holding a gun. Finally, the title “3 Days To Kill” is not suitable for this film. McG needs to learn more to make more classic action films without fooling audiences. My score is 4/10.
