This controversial case does not end there. Tencent, which is the parent of Riot, finally intervened by filing a new lawsuit against Moonton Watson CEO Xu Zhenhua with accusations of a non-competition agreement, because Watson Xu Zhenhua had worked at Tencent as a senior employee.
The court also accepted the claim and made Tencent receive compensation of US$ 2.9 million or around 19.4 million Yuan, which if converted to around 41.6 million rupiah. After the compensation was received by Tencent, Moonton and the Mobile Legends game were finally free from all demands and became very popular in several Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
