The Smartfren Unlimited Package also offers various options that you can choose according to your needs, starting from a 500MB fair usage limit for Rp. 50.000,- per month, 1GB for Rp. 75,000,- per month, up to 1.5 GB per day for IDR 100,000 per month
Smartfren also does not share the use of its unlimited package for certain applications. This means that all the quota provided can be used to access the Youtube, Grab, Gojek, Spotify, Joox, WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram applications, including checking email, browsing the web, and streaming. Interestingly, subscribers of the Smartfren unlimited package are given free access to unlimited calls to other users and free calls to other operator’s subscriber numbers for a few minutes.
Indosat Ooredoo
Indosat Ooredoo also offers several unlimited data packages. One of the things we tried was the 3GB Unlimited Package which is priced at Rp. 62 thousand, if purchased at a retail store. Meanwhile, for purchases through e-commerce or online stores, the price is Rp. 1000 up to Rp. 2000 cheaper, not including postage. Main internet data usable is 3GB, they add 15GB bonus data but it can only be used to access certain apps, some of them are WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, FB Messenger. There are also streaming apps like Youtube, Spotify and Joox.
Unfortunately, they all have a fair month usage limit of just 15GB. If the user exceeds the normal usage limit, the speed that the user gets will drop to 128Kbps. As an illustration, you will spend 1.2GB – 1.4GB quota to watch one high definition video for 1 hour, meaning you can only watch videos on YouTube for 10 hours for a month, if you pass, your main quota is 3GB. will be used. .
Talking about speed, Indosat Ooredoo also imposes conditions to be able to enjoy Youtube with the Indosat Ooredoo 3GB Unlimited package. Indosat Ooredoo reduced the internet access speed for this “free” application to only 128Kbps. One more thing to note, the Indosat Ooredoo unlimited package can only be enjoyed by registered customers to be active a maximum of 31 October 2022, so if you are a new customer, be prepared to bite your finger.
Comparison of Unlimited Data Packages, Three
This operator has Unlimited 6GB at a price of IDR 50,000, but can only be used starting from Pk. 01.00 – 17.00. Although Tri does not have free access to certain applications, in other words the main quota is really 6GB per month, users still cannot access these applications arbitrarily. The reason is, the use of the main quota is limited every day, only up to 1GB per day. So if you have accessed up to 1GB in a day, the internet access speed will be slightly reduced or slowed down.
So if the main quota really runs out prematurely, then you have to be willing to spend another Rp 50 thousand to buy the same quota. One more thing to note is, if you buy and activate a Tri number in Jakarta, the unlimited package you have can only be used in Jakarta, so if you go outside Jakarta you will not be able to enjoy your unlimited package.
