US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken warned the Russian Foreign Minister of severe sanctions if the country attacked Ukraine. Blinken also said there was still a chance to resolve the conflict diplomatically.
The country has ordered most of the US embassy staff to do so because of the threat of attack by the Russian government. The United States has also warned that an attack by Russia could happen at any time.
