This method is not a setting! But it is the official way which is a recommendation from Xiaomi. This method uses Email, so it is certain that you don’t need a PC, you only need another cellphone. Here are the steps.
- Provide another cellphone, you can borrow it from anyone.
- Go to the I.mi.com page, or you can use the following link https://i.mi.com/.
- After logging in, you choose Indonesian to understand better.
- Then below there is some text, you choose [Kirim permohonan buka kunci].
- Enter the unlock number (it’s under your locked cellphone) or your imei number (you can see it on the dusbook)
- If the unlock number doesn’t appear, tap on the padlock logo above then press 10 times quickly.
- After you enter the number. Fill in the box below where you bought your xiaomi cellphone. You can choose Indonesia.
- Click next.
- Later, the email or cellphone number that you previously registered as your mi account will appear.
If your phone number or email can still be accessed, then you just need to use this first method, which is selecting [Setel ulang sandi]. If your cellphone number and email are no longer active, you can use the server method.
- Then you enter the IMEI number or the number linked to the Mi account.
- Choose send or send
- Then enter the verification code that was sent to your email.
- Next you create a new password for your mi account and re-write your new password below it.
- Click submit or input.
- Your new password is ready

The minimum size is 4GB, because it will be used to store firmware files in zip form with a size of about 2GB (firmware link here). Here are the steps to flash a bootloop xiaomi cellphone stuck on the logo for all types.
- Make sure you have previously downloaded the file, then insert it into the SD card. To download and move it, you can use the other cellphone, or borrow it.
- Insert the SD Card into your Xiaomi cellphone.
- Login to TWRP
Since it’s stuck on the logo, you can use holding the power button for 5 to 10 seconds, then press volume Up + Down (each cellphone can be different) with the condition that you are still holding the power button.
- Enter recovery mode, by holding down the volume up button (some models add volume down, and others both).
- In the recovery screen, you press the install button on the recovery menu.
- You look for the location of the directory where you saved the firmware file earlier.
- Under TWRP / recovery there is the word [Swipe to confirm]. You just hold and slide the button to swipe to confirm.
- Wait for it to be 100%.
- select [Download disable]
- Finished
For this second method, you don’t need any other software, this method is quite easy and you can do it. But it should be noted that the opportunity to solve this bootloop problem is not too great, you can try this method as a first step.

- Hold down the volume up + power button (some xiaomi models can volume down or even both).
- After vibrating release the power button, but keep holding the volume up.
- select [Wipe data] by pressing the volume down button to navigate down.
- Press the power button to select [Wipe data].
- select [Wipe all data] by holding down the power button.
