Making a schedule is a surefire way to make sure you’re never late for a meeting. With Zoom, you can schedule one-time or recurring video calls and send them to everyone’s calendar. Here’s how to schedule a Zoom meeting.
How to Make a Meeting Schedule in Zoom Meeting
To schedule a meeting in Zoom Meeting, First of all, download the Zoom app on your Windows 10 PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad or Android. Once installed, open the Zoom app and log in to your account. Next, on the Home page, select the “Schedule“.

The Schedule Meeting window will appear. You will have many options for meetings here. This is what you need to do.
Start by setting the time, date, duration, and name of the meeting. If this is going to be a recurring meeting, check the box next to the “Recurring MeetingAlso, make sure to note the Time Zone in the lower right corner of this section.

Next, set “Meeting ID” for security, I recommend only using your Personal Meeting ID for private meetings. If this is a business meeting, select “Generate AutomaticallyBe sure to ask for the meeting password for an added layer of protection.

Now for the video and audio settings. This option allows you to enable or disable video of hosts and participants when they join the meeting and the method of communication (phone, computer audio, or both).

Choose if you want to send meeting invitations and reminders to Outlook, Google Calendar, or another calendar platform.

Lastly, there are some advanced options that you can choose from which should make your video conferencing more secure. To open the Advanced Options menu, click the arrow next to “Advanced Options.”

To make Zoom more secure, we recommend checking these settings:
- Enable waiting room
- Mute participants on entry
- Only authenticated users can join: Sign in to Zoom

You can also decide if you want to automatically record the meeting and even add an alternative host. The alternate host has the same meeting permissions as the host. The significant difference between an alternative host and a co-host is that the alternative host can initiate scheduled meetings where the co-host cannot.

Once you are done changing the settings as per your wish, select the button “Schedule” in the lower right corner of the window. Your Zoom meeting is now scheduled, and the information will be sent to the calendar you selected.
