Condition
The font upload feature is only available for Canva Pro, Canva Enterprise, Canva Education, and Canva for Nonprofit accounts. Free Canva users have to be content with the fonts.
Free Canva users can upgrade to Canva Pro for $12.99 per month if paid monthly or $9.99/month if paid yearly. Canva also offers a 30-day free trial to try out a Pro account before you decide to buy one.
Another prerequisite for adding fonts to Canva is that you must have a license to use them. That means you can use free fonts that have permission to use or fonts that you have purchased a license for.
If there is a problem with the license, the upload for the font will fail. In such a case, check the license information for the font to make sure you have the rights to embed the font. Or contact the font provider/seller for the correct license or file version. Any Canva account can upload up to 100 fonts.

How to Upload Fonts to Canva
open canva.com in your browser and click on the option “Brand Kit” in the sidebar on the left. Canva for Enterprise users must first click on their company name from the sidebar, then switch to the tab Brand Kit or Brand Kit.
If your company has multiple Brand Kits (available for Enterprise accounts only), click on the Brand Kit you want to customize.

The Brand Kit page will open. open Brand Fonts and click option “Upload Fonts“.

Box Open dialog will appear. Select the font file you want to upload and click “OpenCanva supports OTF, TTF and WOFF font formats. You can also upload multiple font files at once, the maximum file limit is 20.

A confirmation dialog box will appear asking if you have a license to use the font. Click the button “Yes, upload away!“.

Wait a few seconds for the upload to complete. Once the upload is successful, it will appear in the font you uploaded.

You will get a pop-up message if the upload fails. In this scenario, there are several things to consider. There might be a problem with the license, or you are using an unsupported format, or the file is corrupted. Identify the problem and fix it to upload the font again.
Now, you can go to your design and use the font that was uploaded earlier. Adding fonts to Brand Kit also means they will be available to your entire team so that you can create a custom design.
