Sony Prepares PlayStation 4.5

According to Kotaku, Sony Computer Entertainment currently preparing a new version of the PlayStation 4 which has improved graphics capabilities and will be able to run games in 4K resolution. Kotaku got this information from various developer games.

The developers told Kotaku that “PlayStation 4.5(it is still unclear if this is the official name or just the name used by developer) will use the upgraded GPU and can run games high-end at 4K resolution. Besides, this console also has power processing additions that can improve the quality of games that support Playstation VR. Thanks to these two things, developers will be able to incorporate more effects and other graphic enhancements into their games.

At this time, PlayStation 4 can only run games at a maximum resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. While the 4K resolution is 4096×2160 pixels. The PlayStation 4 can actually run 4K resolution content but is limited to photos and videos only.

Kotaku explained that little was known about the upgraded PlayStation 4 at first. Patrick Klepek from Kotaku first heard from one very reliable source he thought, then from two others. But one source said that this console is still in the form of trials and there is a possibility that it will not be released.
