The Little Mermaid Gets 104 Million Views on Social Media
KOMPAS.com – Disney made a big surprise at the D23 Expo last weekend with actress Halle Bailey’s first live-action appearance in The Little Mermaid.
According to Variety, Little Mermaid has more than 104 million views globally.
The Little Mermaid teaser tops all titles live action Disney, including Cruella (68 million views), Beauty and the Beast (94 million views), Alladin (74 million views), and Maleficent 2 (62 million views).

The number of views is collected from YouTube, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram.
Due to Queen Elizabeth II’s departure, The Little Mermaid’s display does not include the detentions of Great Britain, Ireland and Australia.
Additionally, The Little Mermaid clip claims the trending topic No. 1 Reddit on Friday night and currently the No. 1 trending video. 1 in the Movies section of YouTube.

While the re-uploaded trailer version occupies slot No. 2 and 3.
The teaser received high praise on Twitter from celebrities including Zendaya, Halle Berry, Keke Palmer, Ben Platt, Nicki Minaj and Amanda Gorman.
Now, the teaser has become a hilarious TikTok trend of parents recording their kids’ reactions to the video.

The film is directed by Rob Marshall and stars Halle Bailey, Jonah Hauer-King, Art Malik, Noma Dumezweni, Javier Bardem and Melissa McCarthy, with Daveed Diggs, Jacob Tremblay, and Awkwafina as voice actors.
The Little Mermaid hits theaters on May 26, 2023.
