Microsoft Calls Xbox Sales Never Profitable, What's the Reason?

The facts about Xbox sales were revealed by Microsoft’s vice president of business development, Lori Wright.

At the Epic Games vs Apple trial trial, Epic Games attorney Wes Earnhardt asked Lori Wright how much money Microsoft made from selling Xbox consoles.
Lori Wright answers this question emphatically that Microsoft is selling Xbox consoles at a loss.
Then, when asked if Microsoft ever made a profit from selling Xbox devices, Lori Wright replied ‘no’.

Lori Wright said that Microsoft was able to survive the loss of Xbox sales because of the profits from the sale of services, accessories, games, and subscriptions.
Even so, Microsoft still finds it difficult to maintain the price of the Xbox in order to be able to compete with other consoles.
