How to use the USB TV tuner on PC
A couple of weeks ago I bought a USB TV tuner product for a laptop and tried it for the first time, I was confused how to play it and as a result after looking for the pros and cons here and there and as well I’ve been looking for, I’m finally understood. With this tool, you can watch TV and listen to the radio on your PC. One of the downsides is the location. So if you are not in an urban area, you will only be able to receive a few channels and the picture quality will not be clear enough using the built-in antenna. Of course, if you use a large antenna you get a lot more channels and the picture you get is pretty good. I am currently using a branded USB TV tuner Gadmei 380, and the device is compatible up to Windows 7 and still doesn’t work properly Windows 8 (like lost sound). Many say it can’t run on Windows 7 but it seems to be for 64bit but I’ve tried it 32bit runs smoothly without errors.
Every purchase of a USB TV tuner must come with it. be equipped Installation CD which includes the installation of drivers and software. Many complain because they say that Gadmei 380 fails to run on Windows 7 due to an unsuitable driver, but I tried it myself with no error and at this point my driver was updated too. For software, Gadmei 380 TV Home uses Meidia 3, actually for software, users can use other TV software at will, so if Windows 8 cannot hear any sound, it means that the Gadmei 380 software is not suitable and you will need to use other TV software. First switch on the PC, insert the CD from the USB TV tuner and run autorun. (do not insert the USB stick first)
Then please install the driver first and then the TV software. Then restart the computer so that the driver can run normally.
Then insert the USB stick and wait until it recognizes the previously installed TV software, if it has been recognized, please open the TV software and you’re done. Have fun watching TV on your PC.
