How to turn off autoplay videos on Youtube
The autoplay function on Youtube has been available for a long time. Not only available in the application, but also in the WEB version. In the meantime, the mobile YouTube application also features Autoplay, in which the video is automatically played on the homepage.
In general, the autoplay function is only activated when your phone is on a WiFi network. In the meantime, if you are using mobile data, it will be automatically deactivated to save data expenditure.
But for those of you who don’t want the autoplay feature even though you’re currently using WiFi, it can be turned off as well. And this article explains how to do it.
Deactivating the autoplay function in the Youtube app
Open the Youtube app
At the top right, tap the profile photo
Select menu settings
Next to the menu Automatic playback
Do not activate the option “Next video autoplay”
And for options Autoplay on the home page, set as Not active.
If the autoplay function is switched off, the videos that appear on the Youtube homepage will of course no longer be played automatically. And if you play a video then the duration has expired, then Youtube will not play the next video automatically.
Autoplay menu not found in settings?
You may have other issues that you have encountered while trying to follow the steps above, which is the autoplay menu that is unavailable. This is because you are currently using the old version of the Youtube application.
In order for the autoplay menu to appear in the settings, you must first update the Youtube application in the Play Store. And if there is no update available, for example, it is highly recommended to reinstall the Youtube app.

Deactivating Youtube Autoplay on the desktop
It is of course very easy for PC users to deactivate this autoplay function. Because this option is available on the right side of the video currently playing. If you disable it, subsequent videos will no longer play automatically.
Since Youtube is still the old view now, the feature to turn off video autoplay is still the same and nothing has changed. And currently, Youtube on desktop devices still does not automatically play videos on the homepage, also known as only on the Youtube mobile application.
Hopefully useful and good luck
