How to synchronize the time in subtitle editing programs

Many people understand English in a text, but they still don’t really understand whether there are people who can speak English logically and quickly. Just like when watching a movie, viewers who do not understand the language well will of course not fully understand it if the video is not dubbed or has subtitles / translations. Currently, there are many internet users who translate a movie for free, and this way moviegoers can conveniently watch and understand the plot.

There are many different subtitle formats available and most of the formats used are SRT. Any user who translates or broadcasts subtitles will surely prioritize the right time because if time is a little slow or too much it will only make users uncomfortable when they see it. Usually anyone who encodes a video is going to add or decrease the time in the video which causes the subtitles to be out of sync, and luckily that’s not a lot. So sometimes that person erases the front or back just to reduce the size of the video and the content of the story stays the same.

If you watch a movie with the subtitles misaligned, the user will only become less enthusiastic about watching the movie. Even if the subtitles are slow or just 1 second too long, it changes everything, and that’s why There are so many movie lovers out there who have special tools prepared when they want to watch movies with ease, a program for switching subtitles. Not only can the time be transferred, but all existing texts can be changed as required. And most of the people use a program called Edit subtitles.

There can be many Subtitle switching software, but the subtitle editor is much more feature-packed and free to use. With Subtitle Edit, users no longer have to worry if they see a subtitle that doesn’t match the words in the video, all they have to do is calculate how slow / fast the subtitle is displaying and simply set it down or add it. The method that I’m going to share is very simple and all you need is the subtitle editing program. The following describes the procedure for re-synchronizing the time in the subtitle editing program.

  1. First, open the subtitle editing program, and if you don’t have it, please download it at the end of this article.

  2. Continue please menu file in the upper left corner and click Open minded, or you can press directly CTRL + O on the keyboard, and then find the subtitle file you want to transfer.

  4. In the popup, the user simply sets the time column provided in the format hour: minute: second: millisecond. For example, if you want to show subtitles 1 second earlier, please fill in 00: 00: 01.000 and click the button Show earlier. In the meantime, if you want to extend the subtitle time, please choose Show later. When you have to save it, just press CTRL + S on the keyboard.

  5. There are also 3 options. so for All Lines is used to edit the entire list of times in the subtitles while Selected lines only is used to edit only a selected time list, and finally Selected line (s) and forwarding is used to edit a selected list of times to the end.

Just the simple way you can easily switch subtitles and what I like about subtitle editing is that the pop-up area shows 2 special buttons that need to be applied, namely Show Earlier and Show Later, the users of course know how to use them use. Usually people get dizzy editing the time in the subtitles with other programs that only show plus and minus, and people think before deciding which is the right one to add or subtract the right time. But with Subtitle Edit the two buttons can be explained like this Show earlier displays subtitles first, and Show later will display subtitles later.
