How to Overcome Slow Laptop Performance

Easily overcome a slow laptop

There are many reasons for a laptop to start slowly, a program to run, and so on. All of these things can still be overcome and the most important thing is to remove software that will never be used. Software that is old and large sometimes runs programs in the background and needs to be exited directly from Task Manager. However, if the software is not used for a long time, for example a game that is already boring, it would be nice to remove it, besides consuming memory in the background process, it can also save space on the hard drive.

There are still a lot of people who have laptops with 4GB of RAM and under, it could only be 1GB or 2GB. If it’s 2GB it’s pretty good compared to 1GB which is very little and less. In fact, the RAM itself can still be upgraded and the price depends on the size. Upgrading to higher RAM makes the laptop better at multitasking and doesn’t feel slow to boot, and now there are plenty of laptops out there with 8GB of RAM and more, and of course suitable for gamers who always play with maximum settings or high settings. Considering there are a lot of games right now that are scattered around and have very good graphics, it won’t feel like playing on a slow laptop as there will be lags.

Actually a slow laptop when gaming, small possibility not only on RAM, but graphics card it must also be qualified so that the game being played is not blocked. For example the game Goat Simulator. Once I tried it on a 2GB laptop with Intel HD Graphic VGA and it made it feel a bit slow, then I tried it on another laptop with the same RAM, 2GB and NVIDIA VGA, the results weren’t slow and ran smoothly. But this article isn’t about games, it’s about overcoming slow laptops that are too over the top. Imagine if the program is very slow to open, let alone playing HD games, it will definitely feel annoying.

Another small example of a slow laptop. If the laptop has just turned on, people usually only have to wait about 1 minute and all processes are ready. But if it’s a slow laptop, this will take longer usually occurs because of the many startup processes that start suddenly, and you don’t have to worry as the process can still be edited and stopped with the help of special software. There is also a laptop that is often used to install some kind of cheat file to play cheats. It would actually be a big virus if the cheat file were downloaded from an untrustworthy source. Usually the internal components are damaged and removed, even adding a special script that allows the device to slow down. But luckily there is also an antivirus so that it can still be minimized. Here are some ways to keep the laptop from slowing down, see below.

  1. Remove unused programs – I prioritize that, because software that is never used only fills the HDD, and when processes are running in the background, this is very annoying, as it takes up a bit of memory from the available RAM.
  2. Deactivate programs that start automatically – Please switch off existing start programs. Because this corresponds to running the program when the device is switched on. Just turn off startup programs that aren’t important. You can use the CCleaner software to do this
  3. Delete junk files – Usually called temporary or temporary files, but these are also junk as there are usually only cache files in the browser. If not deleted, the size is increased to GB. Aside from filling up the system HDD, it is also troublesome since it is on the system drive. You can use the CCleaner software to do this
  4. Leave plenty of space for the system drive – Sometimes people don’t know that the maintenance of the C (system) drive is very important because if it gets damaged the laptop will get out of control automatically. Just like a cell phone, the internal storage becomes very slow when it is small in size. If your C drive is full due to backup files and system restore points, you should just move or delete it.
  5. HDD defragmentation – Defragmentation can increase the speed of the hard disk, but this process takes a long time depending on the size of the current hard disk. This method is safe and non-destructive so don’t worry to try it out as many people have tried this method on their own including me.
  6. Clear registry errors – I haven’t seen it myself whether or not it can really slow down program performance, but many people say that when registry errors pile up, device performance is also affected, so it would be better to delete it. You can use the CCleaner software to do this.
  7. Replace with Avast Antivirus – Since other antivirus programs always slow device performance due to background processes consuming a lot of RAM memory, it is better to use Avast, which has been shown to use little available RAM compared to others for which Avast is much better suited Low-end laptops
  8. Don’t use cheat files often – This is the last one, you shouldn’t use the game cheat file too often. On purpose a cheat file that allows the user to run the program from the administrator, because if it does, it means that the cheat file can be deleted, written, etc. on the system.

Some of the above methods can be used to Minimize laptops that are slowing down. And the advice I use from the very top. Most people don’t understand the existing system boot and leave it on, actually it doesn’t matter if the laptop you have is high spec, but if it’s little then it’s better to turn off a few things that aren’t are important . Defragmentation is also strongly recommended as it is possible Make a file manager open and move files faster. Some game boosters also recommend defragmenting the game folder to make gaming smoother. If you have anything to ask, please comment.

Hopefully useful and good luck
