How to back up and restore the Mikrotik configuration

Perhaps everyone already knows that Mikrotik routers offer many advantages. It’s a bit complicated the first time you use it, but if you really understand all of its features then setting up Mikrotik can certainly be very quick and easy.

To do Fuse (Backing up) is very easy with the help of Winbox. You probably already know the program. So the backup and restore function was basically provided by Mikrotik and you just have to use it. Here is the tutorial.

  1. Go to Winbox and click on Menu Files

  2. Press the button Backup and then a new backup file will surely appear there.

  3. To save it on your computer, easy drag and drop the file is copied directly and automatically to the computer.

  4. It’s the same when you just want to perform a restore drag and drop Backup file from the computer earlier to Winbox. And then push the button Restore

Pretty short, isn’t it? You can also do a backup from the terminal, but it seems a little complicated and it is better to use the above method which is relatively simple and effective.
