How to add IDM manually in Opera

Internet Download Manager or better known as IDM is considered a software that can speed up the download process and is always integrated into all types of existing browsers. IDM has special features that can speed up the download process and control the speed when used together with browsing. Of course, IDM is the most important and greatest downloader tool from the rest right now. Using the system breaks the file into pieces to speed things up and eventually puts it back together again. IDM is premium software and is not distributed for free, but most people scam it using various methods that are unsuitable.

IDM can speed up the download process by more than 20% of browser downloads. There are several functions that make users comfortable even when downloading over a bad connection, namely the pause and resume functions. But don’t get me wrong, every browser in the download area must have this feature, but IDM is much different because even though the file hasn’t been downloaded for a few days and the link has expired (unusable), the link can still be with a new and when it appears in browsers, usually when the link has expired and the user tries to reconnect or continue, they may see a “Download Failed” warning.

In IDM, users cannot find failed downloads again because they can easily change links. But unfortunately there is one thing that IDM doesn’t always make compatible with all browsers that use Chrominium (Chrome system help). So most browsers like Chrominium have to do it manually to add IDM as the main download tool. There are several browsers that still do not fully support IDM, namely Opera and UC Browser. In the UC browser, however, it is sufficient to set the download settings page to IDM to manually add the file in EXE format. Opera has more to do.

Opera is already visible on the download settings page in IDM, but when a user tries to download something with the Opera browser, it is not directed to that IDM software and therefore has to be a little forced to use it it can run the IDM program on Opera, and you don’t have to worry about the constraint given as the method I’m going to share is very secure and shared directly from the IDM website. The following describes the procedure for making IDM usable in the Opera browser.

  1. Please first open IDM and click on the tab Download then select menu at the top opportunity.

  2. Then on the tab Generally Please tick the “Use advanced browser integration” section and don’t forget to tick Opera in the “Intercept downloads from the following browsers” section. If there are 2 Opera names just tick one of them.

  3. Still not done, please open the Opera browser now and go to the extension page by clicking opportunity then click Extension Manager. Then minimize it first.

  4. Then open Windows Explorer and change to the directory “C: Programs Internet Download Manager”. Find the file named IDMGCExt.crx Please press the file and move it to the Opera extension page or say drag and drop. Then a new extension will appear in Opera called IDM integration module, please click the button To install activate.

  5. Now try to download something with Opera, it is guaranteed that IDM can now be properly integrated.

Just looking at it, the above method is quite complicated and confusing, but try it right now and I can guarantee you will understand and be successful. IDM has indeed prepared a special extension used by browsers similar to Chrominium and if you search for it on the extensions page you will definitely not find it unless you look directly in the IDM software installation directory. The crx format file is an extension that helps redirect downloaders to IDM and without it, IDM will not be properly recognized even though the browser name is shown in the download options.

It is true that the download dialog that appears indicates that IDM has downloaded on the current connection, and when the user clicks the Download button, the download process appears to have started earlier. Settings like this can still be changed in the currently used network settings, if you decide to use WiFi it will of course be displayed, but not if you set it as a lower network modem. However, it is like filling up with gasoline that refills at 0 IDM seems to fill up from 5 or 10 instantly without the user even realizing it. If anyone would like to ask more about the above questions, please comment.

Hopefully useful and good luck
