Worried? How to check your Samsung phone battery

About Samsung members
- Install or update Samsung members through the App Store
- Run the application after it is installed on the mobile phone
- Go to the section Get help by tapping the headset symbol in the lower menu
- Then click on Options Interactive exams
- On the Interactive Exams page, select an option battery
- You can find information about the battery status in the section Life
Samsung Members is a community service specially designed so that users can find various tips, tricks, and other reviews to help solve a problem.
In it, you can even ask a question about features or issues on Samsung manufactured devices for a solution.
Since 2021, Samsung has uniquely added a quick diagnostic feature to this application that allows users to check various functions and components of cell phones.
In addition to the battery described earlier, you can also use Samsung Members to check Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, touch screen, physical buttons, vibration, microphone, speaker and USB functions.
When checking the battery, Samsung Members unfortunately only shows the information Good, Ok, Bad or Weak, which, by the way, is not as specific in comparison to similar functions on some other mobile phones.
If you want more accurate data, you can also use a third-party application called AccuBattery, which shows the battery health in the form of a percentage.

AccuBattery is one of my favorite applications because technically it doesn’t work randomly, but on the basis of repeated measurements in the cell phone usage cycle to generate data.
For this reason, information about the battery status is not displayed immediately the first time it is used. To do this, you need to perform several charge and discharge cycles.
Fortunately, this application not only allows you to check battery health, but also allows you to monitor the application’s battery usage activity or view average cell phone usage data every time.
Samsung itself actually has a pretty good system for dealing with this problem as well. You will be notified when the cell phone battery you are using has decreased in performance (deterioration).
Via mobile notification
No special steps are required to use the notification function. The operating system made by Samsung works automatically and then displays a notification when a battery problem occurs and immediate attention is needed.
However, this usually happens when the battery is really critical or the capabilities drop drastically, such as B. the mobile phone often switches off suddenly during use.
Even so, you do not have to replace it immediately, as this could be due to a shift in the scale between the sensor and the battery, which requires little calibration.
Additionally, after seeing signs of decreased performance, you can anticipate this in advance by checking the battery health in the previous two ways.
When should the battery condition be checked?
Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries are actually a type of high density power source that is durable and safe to use. However, if used improperly, performance can deteriorate quickly.
You need to check the battery when you start feeling the drop. One of the most common signs is that the cell phone has a very short useful life from full to full.
Also, in this case, the phone often turns off suddenly because the battery is empty, although the percentage shown in the notification panel on the screen is still very high.
The deformation (change in shape) of cell phones can also be an indication for an immediate check of the battery condition. As already mentioned, the battery of some devices can swell even when used continuously.

When to change the battery?
Health check results from Samsung applications or systems do not necessarily require a battery replacement solution. You must also determine it yourself based on the daily use of the cell phone.
For me, the battery change has to be done if the problem is really annoying, as the cell phone is often suddenly dead. Before that, we can still use it with proper care so it doesn’t get worse.
Tips for caring for the right battery
- Use a good charger (no need for the original brand, but don’t fake it)
- Use an adapter with a voltage and a current appropriate to the requirements of the device
- Do not use the power bank too often while using it
- Mute the device while it is charging
- Do not charge if the battery is really weak
- Stop using your cell phone when the temperature is high
With these few things, you can certainly extend your phone’s battery life a bit. However, this will certainly not prevent deterioration in the long term.
Even if the cell phone is used improperly, for example in locations with temperatures other than 0 to 35 degrees Celsius according to Samsung’s design, the battery health checks may need to be carried out by users.
