Solution cannot receive OTP code from Facebook

Solution cannot receive OTP code from Facebook

OTP is an abbreviation for One Time Password, which is used as a temporary PIN. Typically, OTP is used to make an account more secure, such as when a user wants to log in or change settings for an account.

On Facebook, users receive an OTP code when they want to register an account or when entering an account when activating the function Two-factor authenticator. But there are times when the OTP code didn’t get inso that the user gets stuck on this page.

What you need to know is that sometimes this problem is not solely caused by the Facebook page but also the number you are using. But this problem is very rare on Instagram and more common than on Facebook.

Solution for Facebook OTP code is not entered

Since we don’t know the exact cause of the OTP code not entered, the problem is most likely caused by three things. The first is the settings or settings on the phone, the second is that there is a problem with the cellular card operator used and the third is the Facebook system that has a problem.

Of these three things, you can solve them one by one, and this article explains the steps. Please read and follow from the first solution.

1. Reset the message center on the phone

Message center or SMSC serves as an intermediary when sending or receiving messages. If it is set incorrectly, your phone will certainly not be able to be used to send or receive messages, even if it always fails.

So please check the message settings and then search for the section Message center, please change it according to the number SMSC on their respective cell phone cards. And if you do not know, please contact the operator to get the number.

Although the messaging center has been set up automatically by the system by default, there is sometimes an error in the system on the mobile phone and the number is lost so it is not set correctly.

After the correct setup, try again to request the OTP code from Facebook. Is the code acceptable now?

2. Contacting the cellular card operator

A while back I ran into almost the same problem, namely that I couldn’t get a verification code from a site sent via SMS. But strangely enough it can be received on other numbers. From here I think the cause is from the previous cell phone card.

The solution is to contact the operator. You can do this through social media or call them directly. Then explain the problem in detail and if it happened the operator will issue a complaint ticket later.

The next step is to wait until you get messages from the operator. This can be fast or slow depending on the operator. From my own experience it is about 2 days.

And after the problem is fixed, try again to get the OTP code from Facebook. Now the code is sure to be acceptable.

3. Temporary failure of the Facebook OTP system

If you’ve followed the two steps above but haven’t gotten any results, rest assured that the problem is with the Facebook page itself. Usually this doesn’t take long and only takes a few moments.

There is no other option but to wait for Facebook to fix the problem on its own. Users are also not given the opportunity to contact Facebook.

So far the most common case is the delay in sending the OTP code, but it is different when you cannot receive it at all, which is of course a big problem. As a suggestion, please wait at least 1 day and then try again to receive the OTP code.

Between the three things above, it is possible to be the obstacle that you are about to experience. So you don’t need to worry as there is a solution for each of the above problems. The third point above is a bug in the Facebook system, so only Facebook can handle it.

If you have other solutions, feel free to share them in the comments column to help other users who are experiencing this problem.

Hopefully useful and good luck
