It's not complicated, here's how to move old phone data to OPPO A92

Gadgetren – As a smartphone launched in Indonesia in 2021, the OPPO A92 has a variety of interesting features embedded in the ColorOS 7.1 system.

Of the many features that ColorOS 7.1 has, Clone Phone is one of the features I like as it offers the ability to transfer old phone data to OPPO A92 in a snap.

Various types of data such as contacts, SMS, call history, applications, music, photos, videos and documents can be migrated unaltered easily and quickly without us having to manually move them from the old phone to the OPPO A92.

Although the data transfer process can be quick thanks to Wi-Fi Direct technology, the estimated time may vary depending on how much and how much data is transferred from the old smartphone to the OPPO A92.

For those of you who want to try it, you can immediately follow the tutorial on how to transfer old device data to OPPO A92 as follows.

Clone phone settings

1. First, open the Category Apps folder Tools on the OPPO A92 home screen
2. In the folder Tools select the app here Clone phone
   
   
3. After applying Clone phone is open, you are faced with the choice of the device type consisting of: New phone and Old cell phone
4. I choose New phone because this OPPO A92 is a new phone that gets data from the old phone
   
5. To New phone is selected, you will be presented with a menu selection of old cell phone types, consisting of: OPPO phone, other Android phone, or iPhone
6. I choose Different Android phone for using an old Android phone other than OPPO
7. On page Install “Clone Phone” on the old phone, will now receive a link to download the application Phone clone for phones other than OPPO
8. Next I opened the browser, entered the link, downloaded and installed it Phone clone on that old Android phone
   

In this process, I activated the Phone Clone application on the OPPO A92 and performed some preparatory steps. In the meantime, I also downloaded the Phone Clone application and installed it on an old Android phone based on the link provided by OPPO.

Data migration process from old phone to OPPO A92

1. After applying Clone phone installed on an old Android phone, so I opened it and was immediately presented with the button Start cloning
2. Next, I switched to the OPPO A92 and hit the button Next walk Hotspot and password settings page for Wi-Fi Direct connection, which will be used later for a fast data transfer process.
3. There is a QR code on this page that can be scanned to connect OPPO A92 and old Android phones
   
4. Then I went back to the old Android phone and hit the button Start cloning to go to the QR code scanner page
   
5. Next, I used an old Android phone to scan the QR code that was in the Hotspot settings page and password use Clone phone on OPPO A92
   
6. Next application Clone phone starts the connection process between the old Android phone and OPPO A92
7. Then a page will appear on old Android phones Migrate everything on this phone to the new phone which informs that contact data, SMS, phone history, photos, videos, music, documents, system and applications will be moved to OPPO A92 (new phone)
8. A page will be displayed on the OPPO A92 Start migration on the old phone indicating that the data transfer process is ready to be executed
   
9. To start the process, I immediately pressed the button Start cloning on old Android phones
10. After the button is pressed, the migration or data transfer process from the old Android phone to the OPPO A92 will begin
11. The estimated migration process to OPPO A92 depends on how much data the old Android phone has. However, in order to provide more interactive information, OPPO has shown a percentage display and the duration of the data transfer process
    
12. After the data transfer process is complete, the Clone Phone application will display the information on both smartphones that all data has been transferred successfully.
13. When we push the button Complete, the Clone Phone application will exit automatically
14. Secure! Data from old Android phone has been successfully transferred to OPPO A92.
    

It could be said that the tutorial steps I have given are quite detailed and long to help you understand the Clone Phone feature even if this is your first time using it. In my opinion, this feature is very convenient and effective when you want to transfer a lot of data from an old Android phone to the OPPO A92 directly.
