Gadgetren – Telekomsel has a special product called the Emergency Package that enables someone to use the service even if the credit or allotments are used up.
Checking credit and allotments is actually an important step before we make calls, send text messages and surf the virtual world. However, due to human forgetfulness, it can sometimes be overlooked.
Unfortunately, when the credit or quota is really low, various important activities can be interrupted, for example with an FBD. The phone is immediately disconnected, SMS fails until the internet connection goes offline without warning, it can hit anyone.
This is certainly not a major issue when you are around a loan seller. It’s just that we may experience it in the wrong place, so it will be a long time if we want to buy additional credit or allotments.
Therefore, there is the Telekomsel emergency package as an alternative to the Collect Service for such problems. This allows you to immediately resume various important activities that have been interrupted due to credit or quotas.
What is the Telekomsel emergency package?
For those who are still confused, Telekomsel’s emergency package is actually a combination package that includes Internet, voice and SMS contingents. In contrast to the usual package, you can activate this product first and then pay the bill when you top it up.
Put simply, this service is like owing Telekom a package where you can use the service and pay for it later. You can even pay it in total installments at the price mentioned at the beginning, without adding interest or other fees.
Unfortunately, the emergency package will not be available to all customers. Only those who have been using Telekomsel’s prepaid service for more than 60 days and who meet the eligibility criteria can use it.
You will also receive a list of packages with different prices depending on the criteria set by Telekomsel. In this case it is available from Rp. 1,000 to Rp. 50,000.

When activating the Telekomsel emergency package, you can unfortunately only reach other people via the internet service. The offered voice and SMS contingent is only valid for use by other Telekom customers.
The good news is that the number of internet quotas and SMS in the package can be higher than the above list when Telekomsel takes an action. The distribution takes place only according to specified criteria.
How to activate the Telekomsel emergency package
By texting
- Telekomsel offers an emergency package via SMS from number 5111 if the customer meets the criteria
- Reply to the message with the requested keywords
- If successful, an activation notification SMS will be displayed
For those of you who haven’t received a text message when your credit or allotment has run out, you won’t be able to use this method. Therefore, to determine whether or not you have the option to purchase an emergency package, you can use the UMB code or the MyTelkomsel application.
Via UMB code
- Open the dialpad app
- Type key * 505 #
- Press the button Call
- Select menu Emergency package
- Click button send to activate it
The activation of the emergency package via the UMB code is also provided with an SMS notification if it is successful. You can then take advantage of the benefits it contains before the period of validity expires.
