Gadgetren – Now the Xiaomi brand smartphone is increasingly in demand in Indonesia thanks to its low price, but the hardware specs offered are quite high.

MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie is also one of the reasons why some Indonesians buy Xiaomi smartphones. One of the great features of MIUI 10 is split screen multitasking, or split screen, which allows two applications to run on the smartphone screen at the same time.

In the meantime, this function has even been available since MIUI 8 and higher, provided that it already has an Android Nougat base. For gadgeter curious how to open two applications on Xiaomi at the same time, you can watch the tutorial as follows.

Xiaomi split screen

When there is one application in the upper half of the screen and another application in the lower half of the screen, the split screen multitasking function is active. In my opinion, this feature is pretty easy for users to watch videos while taking notes or watch videos while opening websites.

For example, gadgeters watch cooking tutorial videos on Youtube and can then record them directly in the note application. This is of course convenient because it can do two tasks at the same time.

Note, however, that the split screen multitasking feature is only active on MIUI 8 and above, which is already using the Android Nougat base. The Xiaomi Gadgeter smartphone has MIUI 8, but if the base is still Android 6 Marshmallow, then this function does not work.

In fact, when buying a 2021 Xiaomi smartphone, it is certain that the base operating system is Android Nougat and above, so you can definitely do this multitasking split-screen feature.

It could be said that the above method is very simple, where you just hold down the Recent App button. In fact, almost the average Android smartphone already uses the shortcut to the button for the last used app to enable the split screen multitasking feature.
