In general, users can move contacts from their phone to their SIM card using the Export menu in the Contacts application. You can find this option in the More menu (three dots or hamburger icon) or in the Settings menu.
However, since each device has a different placement of options, we cannot explain each in detail. We use Samsung devices for this purpose, for example.
On Samsung devices, you can find the export option by tapping Options miscellaneous (Three-dot icon) in the upper right corner, then select Manage contacts. Then, on the Manage Contact page, select the option Import / export contacts.
To move the data, press the key EXPORT then select option SIM used for the new data location. Next, select the contacts you want to export and press DID When you are done with that. Finally, all you have to do is press the button EXPORT Once again.
Important note, this method can only be used on devices based on the Android operating system. For iOS systems, Apple generally doesn’t offer a SIM card storage option, and you can use cloud services as a workaround.
How to move contacts from SIM card to Android based phone
Contrary to the above method, users can use the import menu to transfer data from SIM card to Android phone. To find this option, it’s usually near the export menu, as described earlier.
For example, on Samsung devices this menu becomes part of the page Import / export contacts. And to use it, all you have to do is press the button IMPORT, then choose SIM FROM, and then select the contacts you want to move.
When you’re done selecting contacts, or you can press the circle in the upper left corner to select all, press the button DID. Then in the TO option phone, then press the button. IMPORT to move it.
