Private files on Xiaomi phones

The name suggests that the “Private Files” feature is a feature of Xiaomi to provide privacy to cellphone users in the form of files, videos, photos and others that can be hidden.

Hiding photos, videos and files on Xiaomi phones with the Private Files feature is arguably very easy where you can access them through the file manager application.

Later, any photo, video or hidden file can only be accessed through the Private Files folder, which of course uses safeguards such as password, PIN or pattern so that only you and the authorized person can access it.

How to hide photos and videos on Xiaomi phones

1. Open the app File manager on the homescreen page
2. Press the button Options symbolized by three dashes in the top left of the screen
3. Next, select Menu Private files
   
4. Then you will be asked for input password from the Mi account or template Cell phone lock
5. After filling in correctly, press the key OK
6. Upon entering the site private files, You can select photos or videos from the Pictures or Videos category folder

Recover hidden files

1. Open the app gallery on Xiaomi phones
2. Select tab album
3. Swipe or swipe down from the top of the screen and hold your finger until you see a lock icon
4. After the lock icon appears, you can remove your finger from the screen
5. On page Private files or hidden albums, You can select a folder or open the photos or videos that you previously hidden
6. After making your selection, press the button Fade in at the bottom of the screen
7. Next, choose a folder to keep the photos or videos that you previously hidden
8. Finally, through the application, you can access photos or videos in the selected folder gallery
