Gadgetren – Nowadays it’s easier for us to send WhatsApp messages to other users even if we don’t save the phone number first. How do you do it then?

To make this easier, WhatsApp officially announced a new feature called Click to Chat some time ago. With this new feature, users can start a conversation on WhatsApp without having to save the other person’s phone number.

To do this, the user only needs to know the active WhatsApp phone number of the other person, then he can create a link via which WhatsApp messages can be sent to the person concerned.

How do I create a WhatsApp link so that you can use the click-to-chat feature?

Creating a click-to-chat WhatsApp link is also very easy. Users only need to use the format https://wa.me/ followed by the WhatsApp telephone number to be addressed.

But for the record, the phone number must be written in accordance with the international format. For phone numbers in Indonesia in particular, users only need to replace the leading 0 with +62.

In addition, it is also important to note that the user must also remove the hyphens (plus or minus signs) and parentheses if previously recorded numbers have used these characters.

For example, the user wants to create a link for their own number with the number 081234567890. So the user just needs to change the previous format to URL https://wa.me/6281234567890.

What is the function of WhatsApp links?

Besides being very handy when we want to send WhatsApp messages but don’t want to save the person’s number, Click to Chat can be used to make it easier for other people to contact us.

Confused What That Means? A real example: Click to Chat can be used as a contact by sellers. Instead of having to go through multiple processes when buying goods via WhatsApp, all they have to do is tap the link created by the seller.

When the link is opened by a buyer, their WhatsApp conversation is automatically routed to the seller so they don’t have to bother storing numbers and looking for numbers to send messages.

Interestingly, WhatsApp users can also add message formats as they wish. For example, as with the previous buying and selling, the seller can add an order format for goods.

As mentioned before, to create a link with a custom message format on WhatsApp, users just need to add text with the appropriate url code. Or simply the format changes too https://wa.me/nomor?TeksPesanURL.

When creating a TskMessageURL the user can use % 3A add for colon, % 0A enter, and % 20 for rooms. For example, the seller can use the URL https://wa.me/6281234567890?text=Saya%20tertarik%20untuk%20membeli%20mobil%20Anda “I am interested in buying your car” on 081234567890.

After the link or URL is successfully created, users can use it as a contact on social media accounts, online buying and selling service accounts, or in digital ads they distribute.
