Fresher, Xiaomi Indonesia officially participates in the implementation of the new logo

Gadgetren – A mobile phone and Internet of Things (IoT) product manufacturer from China called Xiaomi now has a new logo that gives a fresher look.

In line with this global move, Xiaomi Indonesia is also said to have used the new logo. This was conveyed by Didit Putra Erlangga as Corporate and Media Relations of Xiaomi Indonesia.

He said his party followed global instructions to use the new logo on a number of Xiaomi Indonesia official social media accounts. “We have certainly implemented it since this week,” he told the Gagdetren team.

According to monitoring by the Gadgetren team, they have installed a new logo on their respective profile photos on Instagram accounts @ mistore.indo and @ mishop.indo, Xiaomi’s official retail accounts. Lei Jun as CEO and founder of Xiaomi has also uploaded the new Xiaomi logo on his personal account.

Based on a written statement received by the Gadgetren team, the new logo, which represents the company’s visual identity, has its own meaning, bearing an Eastern philosophy on the theme of “Life”. The new logo was designed by Kenya Hara, a world-class designer and President of the Nippon Design Center (NDC).

Through his hands, Xiaomi’s new logo now takes on softer and rounder contours at its originally rectangular corners, including the redesigned “Mi” typography, which makes the new logo look fresher.

In the meantime, the orange corporate color has been retained to continue to convey the vibrancy and youthful spirit of Xiaomi. Black and silver are also used as additional colors to accommodate the high-end product line.

When designing the new logo, Kenya chose a circle as a shape that is considered more dynamic and appropriate to represent Xiaomi, which is flexible and adamant to move forward.

The concept of “life” in this new logo directly defines the philosophy pursued by Xiaomi, namely “people live, technology made by man so that technology ultimately serves the needs of life”.

The new logo is also followed by a new format that breaks the traditional rules of using logos in the past with four corners. With this “life” concept, Xiaomi would also like to show thoughts and reactions to the turning point of intelligent networking.

With this new logo, Xiaomi is also welcoming a new decade in advancing technology in the art space and from offline to online around the world. Hopefully this new identity will catapult Xiaomi into the future in the coming decade.
