Enable parental controls for Spotify Premium Family

Enable parental controls for Spotify Premium Family

Spotify offers premium access for a reasonably friendly price. There are many benefits to being a Premium Member. One of them is the ability to save or download music and play it offline.

There are two types of premium offered by Spotify, namely individual and family. And if you subscribe to Spotify Premium Family, all family members at home can enjoy premium access to Spotify for up to 6 accounts.

And best of all, you can limit the content explicit or vulgar to some members. For example, for his sister’s or child’s account. In this way the songs marked as content explicit will be removed and cannot be found for this account.

How to enable parental controls for Spotify Premium Family

Before doing this, make sure the account you are using is a package manager so that you can set up parental controls for each member. And here are some steps:

  1. Sign in to your Spotify account.

  2. Click on the menu Premium family.

    Click the Premium Family Menu

  3. Select a family member’s name.

    Choose a family account

  4. Then activate it in the options Remove offensive content.

Enable parental controls for Spotify Premium Family

  5. Done, now all the content explicit on Spotify for this account will be hidden.

If a song was previously marked as content explicit added to the playlist, it will be removed immediately once you follow the steps above. Even if it has been downloaded, it cannot be played on Spotify.

Restricting Spotify Vulgar content through settings

Another option can also be done through the settings, even if you do not have a Spotify Premium Family subscription. To do this, open the Spotify app on your phone and go to Settings. Next not activate on options Allow vulgar content.

But everyone can set it up, aka there are no restrictions. In contrast to the Spotify Premium Family subscription, you can only control all accounts / members via the main account (package manager).

Hopefully useful and good luck
